Request for Revision of Delivery Period

To:
The Procurement Committee
COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI)

Subject: Request for Revision of Delivery Period

Respected Sir/Madam,

We respectfully submit that the delivery period of 40 days specified in the tender for the imported equipment is not practically possible for imported items.

Due to the prevailing international situation, including disruptions in global shipping routes and delays in imports, the transportation and customs clearance of imported equipment are taking considerably longer than usual. Even under normal circumstances, it is generally not feasible to import the equipment within 40 days.

We therefore request the Procuring Agency to kindly review and extend the delivery period to a more practical and realistic timeframe. This will encourage wider participation from genuine suppliers, promote fair competition, and ensure that the Procuring Agency receives quality equipment without unnecessary constraints.

We hope our request will receive your kind consideration.

Yours faithfully,

M/s QUALIEQUIPS

Subject: Request for Extension of Delivery Period, Tender No. P70292 (Rapid Control Prototyping Simulator)

Respected Sir,

We refer to the ongoing Tender No. P70292 for the procurement of a Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) Simulator, and respectfully submit that the delivery period of 40 days stipulated in the bidding documents is practically difficult to achieve for an item of this nature.

The RCP Simulator is a high-tech imported equipment whose standard production, configuration, and testing lead time alone requires weeks. In addition, international shipment and customs clearance are frequently subject to delays beyond the supplier's control, including port congestion and examination procedures.

Considering the above, a realistic timeline for supplying such genuine imported equipment is a minimum of 90 days.

We therefore kindly request that the delivery period be extended to at least 90 days, so as to ensure maximum participation and enable the supply of original, manufacturer-certified equipment.

We shall be glad to provide any further information required in this connection.

Thanking you, we remain,

MKJ Associates
