Grievance on Adhesive Plaster 7.5cm x 5 Meters (Zinc Oxide) BPC and Transparent Tape 3 inch x 10yd (CE Marked) Latex free
It is hereby stated with great concern that we have grievance for following two items:
1) Adhesive Plaster 7.5cm x 5 Meters (Zinc Oxide) BPC
2) Transparent Tape 3 inch x 10yd (CE Marked) Latex free
1) Adhesive Plaster 7.5cm x 5 Meters (Zinc Oxide) BPC:-
If we talk about BPC only one company "Paragon" holds "BPC Specs", totally in favor of single company, this specification will eliminate the fare competition in tender. All other companies will automatically be knocked out of competition. So, it is a request to kindly eliminate this specific spec from the bidding documents.
2) Transparent Tape 3 inch x 10yd (CE Marked) Latex free
Bidding documents claims that the transparent tape should be latex free. It is stated that the all transparent tapes are latex free, there is not a single transparent tape that is powdered. This specification only facilitate "3M" all other companies will be knocked out. Every single transparent tape is latex free, it is not mandatory to mention on the label that it should be latex free or not.
So, its a kind request to consider our grievances on concerned products so that clear and fare competition can be carried out across the board. And every single company should be given equal chance to participate.
1. The committee discussed the case and unanimously decided to incorporate any product following under any of the BP/BPC/USP and it is mandatory that the product should be registered with DRAP act 2012 and Drug Act 1976.
In order to ensure that maximum firms take part in the bidding competition, it has unanimously been decided that the products following under BP/BPC /USP will be accepted by the procuring agency subject to completion of registration under Drug Act 1976 and DRAP rules 2012. Grievance Accepted and corrigendum will be issued accordingly.
2. A large number of latex free products Transparent Tape are available in the market and to have stance that it is only one company based / single product based is negated. Secondly, to specify latex free is to ensure patients safety as far as product adverse skin reactions are concerned. Hence the grievance submitted by Azwa Enterprises is not based on factual and scientific grounds. Therefore, the grievance of the firm is rejected.
